Solo Exhibition vol.22 [x-KIROMETERS PER HOUR OF ALONE]
Since 2016, I’ve been shooting a series of landscapes flowing from inside the windows of trains, planes, and buses.
I think it’s a countless repetition of a one-on-one traveling with a single view of the land for a fraction of a second.
A few millimeters thick glass window between the landscape. Listening to the sound and touching the wind is difficult. But the movements and transitions of the raw landscape beyond it are like a movie, like a stage, like music.
A scene you can see alone at tens of kilometers per hour, or even hundreds of kilometers per hour. Such a time connects the traveller’s past and then.
It’s dramatic and drastic, but just sober, a moment on the journey. I can’t forget that moment and continue my journey.

I held solo exhibition in Tokyo in after five years. Kichijoji has lived for about 10 years, and is a place where Tokyo and local cities, and the city center and suburbs mixture together. The work space incorporates the taste of a large gallery with windows facing the street.
In Sapporo, a layout that takes advantage of the height of the ceiling, which is unique to a renovated space of an old building, was exhibited as if several windows were opened on a concrete wall.
