I took photos of the vehicles and facilities on the official website of the newly operated Sapporo Streetcar.

From April 1, 2020 (Wed), Sapporo Streetcar will be operated by the city-owned public corporation “Sapporo Transportation Service Promotion Corporation” while the facilities and vehicles are owned by the Sapporo City Transportation Bureau and the operations related to operation and services will be carried out. The corporation website has been completely renewed as the official website of the streetcar.
At the “Streetcar Web Museum” newly established on this site, I photographed the exterior and interior of 12 existing vehicles (9 passenger vehicles and 3 snow removal vehicles). The exterior covers the front and both sides, and the interior covers the entire view and the driver’s cab (although another photographer shoots, you can also enjoy 360° images inside the car).
In addition, image shots of streetcar depot and chartered car are also taken and posted.
As a enthusiast, I have created many works on the theme of streetcars, and at the “Sapporo International Art Festival 2017” I was involved in a project with streetcars and beside of lines as venues. Also, at the time of the extention of the city center line and the operation of the circular service in 2015, I created an “Private project” logo mark and raised it from the side with a banner and flag.
I am honored to be involved in this kind of work on the new departure of the streetcar. The corporation and production companies that we co-produced also created wonderful sites. Thank you very much.
The streetcar has been reliable and conveniently connected to people since 1918. The streetcar will continue to run future with the name of the familiar “Sapporo-Shiden”(in Japanese name of “Sapporo Streetcar”).
